Astronautische Weltraumexploration und Habitate (AWH)

Inhalt
Die Vorlesung befasst sich mit den internationalen astronautischen Explorationsstrategien für Mond und Mars und den Herausforderungen einer Langzeitpräsenz von Menschen auf diesen Himmelskörpern. Ein Fokus wird dabei auf die verschiedenen Grundfunktionen geschlossener Habitate gelegt, deren Stoffkreisläufe sowie den Nachschubszenarien von der Erde. Ausgehend von physikalisch/chemischen Lebenserhaltungssystemen wird der weitere Fokus auf bio-regenerativer Lebenserhaltungssysteme gesetzt (z.B. Algen- und Fermentierungsreaktoren). Ein besonderer Themenaspekt behandelt den Einsatz von Weltraum-Gewächshäusern (Controlled Environment Agriculture) und deren Integration in die Habitatstruktur. Weitere Themenkomplexe befassen sich mit Analogue Testing, Antarktis Forschungsstationen, Closed-loop Testhabitaten & Biosphären, Space Architecture, Human Factors und In-situ Resource Utilization (ISRU).
