Scholarship program for DAS/DSD/DPS schools
Table of contents
Thanks to the support of the Association of Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden (GFF) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), TU Dresden’s International Office awards scholarships to first-year students for especially qualified school children and graduates of German schools abroad (DAS/DSD/DPS) which allows for university qualification in Germany. An overview of all DAS/DSD/DPS schools worldwide can be found on the world map of the PASCH initiative.
Motivational scholarships for first-year students
Program details
This program offers (future) graduates who completed their education at a German school abroad (DAS/DSD/DPS) and have a secondary school diploma that is recognized for university qualification in Germany the opportunity to receive a scholarship during their first year of studies in a degree program at TU Dresden (in collaboration with the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship).
The scholarship is primarily geared towards first-year students (not to students already enrolled at TU Dresden) to encourage them to pursue their studies in Germany, and at TU Dresden specifically. Exchange students who will only study at TU Dresden for one or two semesters and will not receive their degree at TU Dresden are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
Funding
€300 per month for 12 months, i.e. from October 2024 until September 2025
Application documents
- Online application via the Deutschlandstipendium application portal
- Required application documents for the Deutschlandstipendium (Please upload in the Deutschlandstipendium application portal )
- Proof of German language skills (upload of DSD II certificate or German International Abitur (DIA) in the Deutschlandstipendium application portal).
Important note: In order to be considered for the “Motivational Scholarship”, it must be stated in the application that the school-leaving certificate was obtained at a German School Abroad (DAS), DSD school or at a DPS school. In addition, the name of your DAS/DSD/DPS school should match the ones found in Pasch world map (German page).
Scholarship application deadline
To find out about the application deadline, please refer to the Deutschlandstipendium website.
Application period: 01st until 15th of July
Application for a study program
Applicants with a state (national) or international secondary school leaving certificate (e.g. IB/GIB) must submit the application for a place at the TU Dresden to the Arbeits- und Servicestelle für internationale Studienbewerbungen e.V. (uni- assist). Applicants with the German Abitur or the German International Abitur (DIA) do not apply via uni assist but directly via TU Dresden.
On behalf of the TU Dresden, uni-assist checks whether the submitted application documents are complete and whether the formal admission requirements for the desired study program are met. If this is the case, the application will be forwarded to the TU Dresden for final review and admission. Fees are charged for the processing of the application by uni- assist.
You can find more important information about applying via uni-assist on the following website:
We recommend that you submit more than one application, i.e. applications for several study programs at TU Dresden (that are actually interesting for you). If you do not receive a study place for your favored study program, there is still another chance to be possibly accepted for your second or third priority.
Study program application deadline
15.07.2024 or other deadline (Application deadlines depend on the study program. Please check the TU Dresden's study information system for the application deadline for the degree program you are interested in).
