Do you already have advisory tasks in your everyday professional life, do you provide assistance to others, do you speak encouragement and resources?
The counseling certificate is a proof of your professional competence and your ability to counsel professionally and successfully. With the certificate course "Gut beraten an der TU Dresden" you will receive and expand the necessary knowledge and practical skills to professionally offer counseling in the various areas of everyday university life. On the one hand you will acquire specialized knowledge and methodological competence and on the other hand soft skills. As a counselor, it is important to develop a professional attitude based on trust, empathy, openness and respectful interaction with clients.
- Principles of counseling: Attitude as a counselor, solution and resource orientation, role and role conflicts
- Setting up and structuring a counseling interview
- Discussion methods and questioning techniques
- Dealing with difficult counseling sessions
- Dealing with sensitive data
- Introduction to the method "Collegial Case Counseling"
- Case documentation and reflection discussions
- Reflection discussion and processing of the reflection sheet (2 units)
- 4,5 Workshop days (36 units), always from 9 am - 16.30 pm
- Participation in at least one collegial case consultation (3 units)
- Optional support through individual coaching (max. 2 sessions per participant)
- Submission of the case documentation and concluding reflection discussion (2 units)
Before the 1st workshop, you will have a reflection talk with Kathrin Müller/ZfW, in which you will, among other things, work out your personal goals for the further training together and clarify questions about working through the reflection sheet.
Course dates 2025
During the certificate course, you will be supported by our experienced experts. Kathrin Müller will provide you with valuable feedback in reflection discussions and peer case consultation and Juliane Hörschelmann will support you as course instructor with workshops and coaching.
This course is aimed at all employees who provide counseling - even without an explicit counseling mandate - and who do not have certified counseling training.
