On 5 February 2019, the University Executive Board appointed the 35th TUD Young Investigator, Dr Michael Hiller.

The Leipzig-born bioinformatician has been an independent junior research group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics since January 2018. He is connected to the Faculty of Biology.
