The year 2012 marks a milestone for our university: Ten years ago, TU Dresden was awarded the title of Excellence, making it one of only eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. The financial support has enabled us to develop our university in all aspects. Together, we have seized this opportunity. TU Dresden has become more interdisciplinary and international, attracting outstanding researchers from all over the world.

On this anniversary, the Extended University Executive Board cordially invites you to an online event entitled “10 years of Excellence” on December 5, 2022 at 1:30 - 2:40 pm.

The focus of the event will be on “Promoting early-career researchers”, “Clusters of Excellence” and “Excellence in teaching and transfer”. The Extended University Executive Board and the speakers of the Clusters of Excellence will look back on the highlights of the past few years of excellence funding. They will reminisce about the numerous benefits that the status of Excellence has bestowed upon TUD. Moreover, we will get an insight into the preparations for the next round of the Excellence Strategy, starting in 2026. Afterwards, you’ll have time to ask any questions.
