SprInt Programme Information Session for Newcomers
The SprInt team is inviting the University’s administration staff to an information session for SprInt newcomers, to be held in the foyer of the Graduate Academy, Mommsenstraße 7 on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
From 1:30 pm, prospective participants will be able to talk to the SprInt team and gain insights into the SprInt programme for training the language skills and intercultural competence of non-academic staff.
The components of the SprInt Programme enable participants to improve their knowledge of English in job-related language courses, while at the same time, intercultural seminars focus on how to interact with people from various target regions in a way that is culturally aware. Participation in the SprInt Programme is rounded off with an optional five-day stay abroad. A certificate is awarded to those taking part in the individual components.
Staff working in non-academic areas make a significant contribution to providing the best possible advice and support for international guests, colleagues, students and academics, and thus to the improvement of the University’s culture of welcome. Consequently, the SprInt Programme, as a structured continuing education programme for non-academic staff at TUD, is an important measure in the implementation of the university-wide internationalisation strategy.
