As an open and interdisciplinary forum for research, counselling, further education and knowledge transfer, the Center for Demography and Diversity (CDD) investigates cause and aftermath as well as deriving measures dealing with demographic change and society's progressing diversity. Scientists from TUD's five schools will do both basic and applied research focusing on five operating fields:
1. Labour & Life
2. Education
3. Environment & Infrastructure
4. Human Technology Interaction
5. Health Care & Facilities
The establishment of the CDD in terms of content and organisation has been managed by the Centre for Synergy Enhancement (Zentrum für Synergie-Entwicklung - ZSE). The ZSE is part of TUD's Institutional Strategy and works as "synergy enhancer" for TUD.
