New gender equality concept concluded
For a long time, the equality of women and men has been a concern of individual committed persons - even at German universities and colleges. The commitment of individuals has become a public matter at university. The realisation of actual, equal participation in the scientific system is not only a legal task, it is an explicit concern and strategic goal of the TU Dresden. To achieve this, the commitment of all members of the University is necessary.
Thus, on January 15, 2019, the updated "Gender Equality Concept 2018 of the TU Dresden" was approved by the Rectorate. A pre-release version can be downloaded here.
The large number of contributors and the intensive exchange on which this concept of gender equality is based encourage to jointly continue necessary measures and cultural change.
Our university faces up to its responsibilities with the continuation of the gender equality concept. As overall organisation we strive to make gender and diversity aspects comprehensible and customisable for all through realistic, measurable goals that can be measured both qualitatively and quantitatively. Further information about gender equality at the TU Dresden can be found here.
