conference Phones

For phone calls with multiple participants (e.g. in a conference room) the speakerphone mode of the standard phones offer only limited performance. That is why there are special Conference Phones from different manufacturers with improved audio and options, e.g. the usage of microphones.

The CP-8832 / CP-8831 can be requested in justified cases from the ZIH.

Conference Phones in the ISDN-TC-System

In the ISDN-TC-System, only phones with an analogue (a/b) interface are recommended by the ZIH. ISDN-Conference-Phones are not suitable. Analogue Conference-Phones can be found from many manufacturers, e.g. POLYCON or KONFTEL. Procurement and financing has to done by the institute. ZIH-NK has to be informed about the planed usage to make possibly needed changes to the TC-system settings.

Keymodul with Speed-dial

For the secretary phones, a special key-module can be used, which provides additional speed-dial-slots, if needed.

Wifi-Phones are special phones and are only used in justified cases. As optional accessory a desk-charger (incl. hands-free-mode) is available on request.
Notes for Wifi-Phones
Audio quality depends on several factors. For optimal performance, the signal should be at least three bars. Wifi is only available in some parts of buildings. If you leave the covered area, the phone has to register again. This can take up to several minutes! Note that your call may be suspended when you enter an area with insufficient signal strength.

Wifi-Phones in the ISDN-TC-System (DECT-Phones)

DECT-Phones are also special phones, which have to be financed and procured by the user. Phones must have an analogue interface (not ISDN!) and have to offer extension features (a R-button for putting calls though with programmable flash-time). Gigaset-Phones have proven to be suitable. ZIH-NK has to be informed about the planed usage to make possibly needed changes to the TC-system settings. The provision of the number- / name- display depends on the existence of an assembly unit with CLIP-function. This is not the case everywhere, so we recommend asking us beforehand.
