Influence of uncertain soil models on the construction and design of geotechnical structures
- Investigation of sounding resistance due to soil structure effect (Complex A):
- Investigation of existing data of Cone Penetration Test (CPT) and pile installation data,
- Selection of suitable filters for smoothing of measurement data,
- Discrete Element Method set-up for cone penetration simulation with “hamburger sand” and
- Statistical analysis of CPT data. Work in random field theory
- Inverse identification of state variables of soil according to filtered CPT data based on numerical optimization and FEM (Complex B):
- Determination of material parameter for constitutive models,
- Finite Element Model set-up for cone penetration simulation,
- Implementation of the FE-model in the optimization algorithm and
- Inverse determination of initial state variables
