IMoSa - Intelligent Mobility Saxony Region
Project objective:
The IMoSa project aims to develop a comprehensive concept for the use of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). To this end, classic traffic management is intelligently supplemented by data from logistics service providers (here in particular Volkswagen) and analyses of logistical processes. The basis for this is a comprehensive survey in the Zwickau/Mosel project area in the state of Saxony. Particular attention will be paid to taking into account the requirements of the road construction administration (state of Saxony, city of Zwickau) and local logistics partners.
Tasks and objectives of the ITVS chair:
The IMoSa project involves the evaluation of radio infrastructure for traffic telematics services in tunnels and their assessment with regard to a hybrid range of applications. The aim is to investigate concepts for a linear, locally defined radio infrastructure using leaky coaxial cables (LCX) for communication and positioning applications. Of scientific relevance here are findings on radio signal propagation in special tunnel environments using radio simulation tools as well as methods of radio-based positioning functionality along the LCX based on this. Furthermore, the aim of the study is to evaluate the hybrid use of communication and positioning applications within the radio medium and infrastructure and to determine the potential of data aggregation for a higher-level traffic management system.
The findings of this preliminary study (survey and feasibility study) will then be incorporated into the application for a follow-up project.
