Pilotlinie 64
The project “Pilot Line 64- Efficient Electro Mobility in Dresden” is one of roundabout 40 projects of “Window Bavaria-Saxony Electro Mobility Connects” and is sponsored by Saxony with approximately 4.22 mio euro in connection with the window initiative sponsored by the German government.
Within the last few years hybrid vehicles were used continuously in the line operation of the Dresden transport services and have become a usual sight for the passengers in the meantime. Based on the experiences of the hybrid bus business basic weak points shall be subjected to an optimization at the vehicles with electric drives. In the context of the project available busses of the type Mercedes-Benz Citaro G BlueTec ®- Hybrid are examined and improved with regard to general efficiency for the business on the bus line 64.

Tasks ITVS
The tasks of the chair of transport systems information technology include among others data acquisition and processing of sensors on vehicle side (number of passengers, speed, etc.) as well as GNSS extracted position, navigation and time information. On the basis of these data an Advanced Driver Assistance System is to be implemented in order to increase the energy efficiency during the line operation.
