His work has won numerous awards.
1960: In the Rue de l'Ours in Colmar, there is a small kosher butcher's shop, the only one left after the war. Aunt Thérèse stands at the counter. Uncle Georges does the bookkeeping in the back room. And Sylvain, the father, cuts up the meat in his "laboratory" at the back of the courtyard. This is where the Blochs live, love and argue. For little Serge, life takes place between synagogue, school and the store, with lots of rituals and many childhood pleasures.
