Information on Studienkolleg
Applicants with foreign higher education entrance qualifications that do not allow immediate admission to a university in Germany, can attend a Studienkolleg (preparatory college) to acquire the subject-specific university entrance qualification. This degree program participates in the Dialogorientiertes Serviceverfahren (DoSV) – an initiative organized to aid communication between universities and applicants in cases where prospective students apply for multiple degree programs at multiple universities. This means that applicants from Germany and the rest of the EU must have an applicant ID (BID) and an authentication number (BAN) issued to them from Hochschulstart prior to submitting their application to TU Dresden.
General information for the degree programme
The programme conveys knowledge, abilities and skills for planning, designing, building, preserving, developing and recultivating open spaces.
A key aspect of the planning-oriented education of landscape architects at the TU Dresden is the connection of artistic, creative, scientific, ecological, planning and technical disciplines, which is realized in cooperation with other courses and departments of the TU Dresden.
The programme consists of twenty-seven mandatory modules, among them landscape architecture, landscape construction, landscape planning, plant selection, historic garden conservation, urban design and ecology, and three mandatory electives, among them building history and strategies for nature conservation.
Projects and practical courses are important components of all stages of this programme.
