Equal Opportunities
In an increasingly complex working, research and study environment, TU Dresden strives to offer all students and employees a wide range of opportunities and to capitalise on their diverse potential. Our guiding principle includes much more than simply measures to prevent discrimination based on ethnic origin, gender, religion, one’s set of beliefs, disability, age or sexual identity. So that everyone feels at home at TU Dresden, it is crucial not only to react to problems and barriers when they arise, but also to preemptively counter them by creating positive conditions.
Offers and Activities
The Staff Unit Diversity Management supports, coordinates and networks activities conducive to equal opportunities at TU Dresden. It provides detailed information on the services available to students and employees regarding equality between women and men, the inclusion of people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, ethnic origin, family friendliness, as well as the respective contact persons responsible for each topic. The Staff Unit Diversity Management advises the University Executive Board and Organisational Units of TU Dresden on equal opportunity matters. A so-called advice map has been developed for employees to provide a clear overview of counselling services relating to equality and family-friendliness.
In addition, the Staff Unit Diversity Management has developed a digital care guide in cooperation with other actors, which contains information for students and employees with relatives in need of care.
