Funding for Environmental Measures
The members of TU Dresden are expressly called upon to play an active role in shaping an environmentally friendly and sustainable university . Funding can be applied for to implement own measures in the field of environment and sustainability. The applicant will receive funding from the Environment Commission if the submitted proposal is included in the Commission's annual catalog of measures . A jury of KU representatives evaluates the applications submitted.
The measures and projects that the Environment Commission supports through its initiative budget independently of the sustainability strategy action plan are presented below.
Final report
Measures funded by the Environment Commission must submit a final report by January 31 of the following year. Please use this template.

2023 Funded Measures
- Development of an institutional sustainability process at the Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research (ZLSB)
- Support for the Future Workshop for Sustainable Education (ZuNaBi) - "Thinking Future - Shaping Present" as a space for students, teachers, researchers and practitioners from different departments
- Expansion of the TUD CampusAcker in the Botanical Garden as a place of research and learning at TU Dresden
- Promotion of the student-organized basic lecture on ecological sustainability
- Support for the student campaign Sustainable Building and Outdoor Space Design at the TUD
- Promotion of the Expedition Campus on the topic of sustainability as an offer in cooperation with schools
- Continuation of the project Recycling of cultivation pots to implement the reuse of cultivation pots
- Development of a modular online course on the sustainable use of IT by the Digitalization Working Group
- Promotion of the biodiversity and ecosystem services working group
- Development of a dynamic teaching tool to promote sustainable future thinking by the Institute of English Studies
- Creation of a compulsory elective module "Planetary Health" by the Institute and Polyclinic for Occupational and Social Medicine
2022 Funded Measures
- Mobility survey of all TU Dresden employees and students to visualize the ecological footprint of TU Dresden with an update of the surveys from 2008 and 2018
- Construction of a bicycle pumping station at the university hospital
- Installation by conceptual artist Asad Raza in theOffice for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections of the TUD to illustrate the soil-tree-climate continuum as an example
- Implementation of the basic lecture on ecological sustainability
- Acquisition of several e-cargo bikes for sustainable transportation on campus
- Establishment of a communication and learning space on campus
- "Recycling of growing pots" project for the reuse of growing pots
- Creation of a new educational school garden in the Botanical Garden
