DRESDEN-concept to present Exhibition and repeat Science Slam
How often can an axolotl regenerate its legs? What materials can make furniture fly? How can books that are falling apart be made computer-compatible? And what does “tactile internet” actually mean?
An extensive science exhibition organised by the partners of DRESDEN-concept will be answering these and other questions from July 2 to October 3, 2016 on Dresden’s Neumarkt (New Market Square).
At 10.30 am on July 7, the Rector of TU Dresden, Prof. Hans Müller–Steinhagen, and the Mayor of Dresden, Dirk Hilbert, will be exploring the exhibition together.

Additionally, at 6 pm on July 2, 2016, a re-run of the OPEN AIR SCIENCE SLAM will take place in the chapel of Dresden’s residential palace. The event, which was originally held on May 23, had to be abandoned due to bad weather.
Among the slammers are two microbiologists from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics Dresden, a chemist from the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and an art historian from the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (State Art Collections). Prof. Ludwig Schultz, office manager of DRESDEN-concept, will be chairing the event.
Admission is free.
