SprInt-Programm im Wintersemester 2016/17
During the upcoming winter semester, the SprInt Programme is offering 23 intercultural seminars and four job-related English courses for its participants.
In five general intercultural seminars, the basic elements for communicating within an international university context are provided and general intercultural theories introduced.
18 culture-specific seminars focus on a variety of different cultures and their particular characteristics. The participants discover, for example, what role hierarchy and authority play in the Russian learning and teaching culture, and to what extent service provision is important within the Arabic university system. For the first time in the coming semester, we are offering a seminar on competent intercultural communication with students, non-academic members of staff and researchers from East Africa.
The job-related English courses are aimed, among others, at colleagues working in the laboratories and offices at our University.
It is still possible to register for the English courses until September 14, 2016; registrations for intercultural seminars are accepted at any time.
Participation in the SprInt Programme for language and intercultural training is available to all non-academic staff at TU Dresden. Those who complete the programme successfully receive either the “Basis” or the “Special” SprInt certificate.
You can register for the intercultural seminars and English courses via http://tu-dresden.de/sprint.
