Two More TUD Young Investigators Receive Their Certificates of Appointment
On October 11, 2016, two more TUD Young Investigators - Dr. Dominik Kraus and Dr. Ilona Croy - received their certificates of appointment from the Rector, Prof. Hans Müller-Steinhagen.
Dr. Dominik Kraus heads the Helmholtz Young Investigator Group “Dynamic Warm Dense Matter Research with HIBEF”. The group investigates what is known as warm dense matter (WDM), that is, matter in the transition from condensed matter to hot plasmas. An improved comprehension of WDM is, for example, of great significance for astrophysics in order to understand better the development and internal structure of planets and stars.
Dr. Ilona Croy is head of the psychosensory interactions research area at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Medicine.Together with her team, Dr. Croy investigates biomarkers of mental health. In doing so, they mainly employ psychophysical methods as well as functional and structural imaging techniques.
