Admission requirements
Prerequisites for the admission to the study course:
• first in Germany recognised university degree that qualifies for a profession of at least six semesters in Psychology from a university, or a first degree that qualifies for a profession from a university in one of the following subjects: Work science, Computer science, Engineering, Transport science, Economics, Business education, Industrial engineering, Teacher training, Public health, Occupational health, Sociology.
• special expertise in psychological foundations and the thematic core areas of the course. The proof is effected in accordance with the Rules of Procedure for the Aptitude Test [Eignungsfeststellungsordnung].
• Due to the fact that it is possible to study in English, knowledge of English at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is a prerequisite, if English is not the native language of the applicant. Notes to the required language skills
Aptitude assessment and NC (numerus clausus) selection procedures
The participation in an aptitude assessment or selection procedure is a prerequisite for enrollment in this degree program. Please note that the deadline for submitting an application may be earlier than the application deadlines for the degree program (see above under application deadlines). International applicants and German applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification are kindly advised to read the requirements for German-language courses.
Notes on the application process
If, at the time of application, proof of the first degree qualifying the applicant for a profession is not yet available, the application will be considered under the precondition that 80 % of the credit points attainable for the degree have already been achieved based on completed module examinations or the final thesis and the colloquium (if applicable). A certification from the awarding institute of higher education (examination office) serves as proof of the above-mentioned academic achievements. The certification should also contain a preliminary average grade calculated on the basis of completed graded academic work. You can find the appropriate form on the Admissions Office website.

The master study program Psychology: HPSTS focuses on teaching the fundamental principles, methods, and applications for the optimal design and the efficient management of socio-technical systems, the individual extension in supplemental areas, and the acquisition of general skills. Associations with Other Faculties
An important part of the program refers to applications for the optimization of complex socio-technical systems. The manifold collaborations with other disciplines at TU Dresden will provide a research-active and interdisciplinary environment. The modules HPSTS-8 (Research and Intervention) and HPSTS-I (Internship) enable, the students to conduct own research projects and to get insights into practical applications and potential fields of work.
