General information for the degree programme
The Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Science at the TU Dresden sees its discipline as an empirical human science with a scientific, experimental orientation. The programme provides students with scientific findings on human perception, learning, reasoning, remembering, feeling, and motivation as well as with information on neuronal and hormonal control of human behaviour, human development, and several other fields.
The course of study consists of twenty-one mandatory modules, among them statistics, psychological assessment, experimental psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, biopsychology, etc., and two mandatory electives, English and interdisciplinary work. Furthermore, students write a bachelor thesis and complete a six-week professional internship.
