Foundations

In order to ensure trust in education and research and to mitigate personal liability risk, TU Dresden has established a Compliance Management System, which uses efficient and effective measures, structures and processes to promote fairness and integrity as well as to prevent and penalize misconduct and violations of regulations.
Reporting misconduct

Earnest reports of potential violations help us to detect misconduct at an early stage, to counteract these, and thus prevent extensive consequences. This web area will explain what you can do if you observe a violation and who can support you.
Good scientific practice

Integrity in thought and action as well as organizational and procedural legal regulations ensure good scientific practice. To this end, TU Dresden follows the Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice that are bundled in the corresponding documentation from the German Research Foundation and the Graduate Academy.

Compliance Management at TU Dresden

At TUD Dresden University of Technology, we greatly value the responsible and appreciative interactions of our members and associate members. Ethically impeccable conduct is guided here by the TUD canon of values: integrity, appreciation, transparency, richness of perspectives, excellence and innovation.

For us, compliance means responsibly adhering to the law and to internal forms of governance, including regulations, statutes and instructions. Compliance is a key component of our members’ and associate members’ daily practice in education, research, transfer and administration.

With the involvement of all university groups and staff representatives, we have established the Compliance Management System (CMS), which is tailored to the specific aspects of our various areas of activity, to firmly cement effective compliance at TUD. It is supported by four main pillars:
