IT Security Officer
High-level research, teaching and administration all depend on high-power, secure information technology. The confidentiality and integrity of information must therefore be protected and its availability guaranteed. So, the objectives of IT security are a key requirement for fulfilling all tasks at TU Dresden.
IT security objectives
- Confidentiality is intended to ensure that information is only made accessible to those with authorization.
- Integrity is intended to ensure that information remains intact, complete and up-to-date.
- Availability is intended to ensure that information is made accessible to users in a timely manner and can be processed properly.
The IT Security Officer supports the University Executive Board in achieving these security objectives and reducing the risks associated with information technology to an acceptable level via appropriate technical and organizational measures. He advises (associate) members of TU Dresden on what technical and organizational measures are appropriate for achieving the IT security objectives.
You can contact the IT Security Officer at any time with questions about IT security. This applies in particular to security breaches or vulnerabilities, which, of course, need to be handled confidentially.
