As a family-friendly university, TUD offers families on campus and in the immediate vicinity a family-friendly infrastructure.

Diaper-changing facilities

Nursing rooms are available in numerous buildings, such as the Auditorium Center, the Fritz-Foerster Building, and the cafeteria. You can find the exact locations and further information in the overview of nursing facilities at TUD.

Rest Rooms

TUD provides several quiet rooms on campus to offer students and staff a place to retreat for rest and relaxation. These rooms are intentionally designed to be quiet and are suitable, for example, for short breaks, relaxation exercises, or breastfeeding. Play Areas

For the children of students and employees, there are child-friendly places on campus and in the immediate vicinity where they can play and spend time, such as the table tennis table on the HSZ lawn. There is also a playroom at the “Uni mit Kind” campus office and the option to borrow a mobile toy box from the “Uni mit Kind” campus office . Those who enjoy sports can let off steam on the TU-WAS trail.

Housing Options for Student Parents

Children’s meals in the dining halls

All of the Studentenwerk Dresden cafeterias offer a customizable children’s meal that can be paired with an “adult meal.”
