L2TP/IPSec for Windows Mobile 6
- Open Settings-->Settings-->Connections.
Create the configuration for VPN access by clicking on Add
a new VPN server connection.
- Type in the the name of the VPN-Connection, e.g. VPN TU
Dresden. As "Host name" fill in
vpn.zih.tu-dresden.de. As "VPN type" choose
IPSec/L2TP. Click on Next.
- To authenticate the IPSec/L2TP connections, fill in
tudvpn_ext to the field "A pre-shared key".
Click Next.
- Fill in your ZIH login as "User name", your
password as Password. To close the configuration, click
on Finish.
- For the VPN connection, the addresses, which have to be
encrypted via VPN, should be defined as Exceptions. To
do so, change to tab Advanced and click on
Exceptions.
- Ckuck on Add new URL... and fill in *.* if
you want to use VPN for the whole communication by
default.
- If you just want all the to TU Dresden connectios to be
sent via VPN, please fill in *.tu-dresden.de.
- You finished the configuration successfully. You now just
need to restart your mobile device. After that the VPN
connection will be build automatically during every internet
connection.
