Action Areas
TUD's Institutional Strategy was embedded in a long-term overall development plan, which TU Dresden used to change and further develop its strategies, structures and organisational culture. It included six action areas to which specific measures were allocated.
The six action areas at a glance:
- TUD People
Acquiring and supporting "top talents" on all steps of the career ladder - from prospective students, to students and gifted junior researchers, up to internationally renowned academics - TUD Structures
Creating integrated and efficient structures by reorganising the 18 faculties into five Schools - TUD Processes
Decentralising and optimising administrative and support processes, especially as part of the project "TUDo - TU Dresden Optimised" - DRESDEN-concept
Developing the unique association DRESDEN-concept further with outstanding non-university research and cultural institutions in Dresden in order to maximise synergy effects for research, teaching and infrastructure and raising the profile of Dresden academia as a decisive locational factor - Internationalisation
Increasing the attractiveness of the TUD for international students, junior and senior academics as well as strengthening cooperations with international scientific institutions - Equality of Opportunity
Strengthening the TUD in terms of gender equality and as a family-friendly institution through targeted measures to reduce the hurdles for women in academic careers
Measures from A-Z
