TU Dresden offers funding for members and associate members of TU Dresden who are going abroad with a child/children under the age of 18. The aim of the grant is to support the mobility of students and employees with children. For taking the child/children with you on a stay abroad, a lump sum is granted for travel expenses incurred by the child/children or the caregiver or for childcare fees/school fees incurred abroad.

Funding conditions:

• Lump sum for travel expenses of the child/children or the caregiver (i.e. costs for travel, meals and accommodation) if they are traveling with them or childcare costs/school fees abroad
• The amount of the lump sum depends on the duration of the stay abroad:
  • up to one month: €500
  • up to three months: €1,000
  • from three months: € 1,500

• After the stay abroad, the following documents must be submitted to Unit 9.3 Diversity Management:
  • Proof that the child/children are being taken along (e.g. train tickets, booking confirmation of accommodation for an additional caregiver, proof of daycare or school fees)
  • Information on the use of the approved lump sum
  • Experience report

Eligible applicants: Members and associates of TU Dresden with child(ren) under 18 years of age

Important information about the application:

• An application can be submitted at any time, but no later than four weeks before the start of the trip.

• Please send us the completed and signed application form together with your complete documents specified in the form (proof of associate member of TU Dresden, birth certificate(s) of the child(ren) under 18 years of age, proof of stay abroad) in a PDF document to diversity.management@tu-dresden.de.
