Interest Group Study and Disability (IGB)
Studying at a university leads young people into an almost impenetrable jungle of information. Especially people with special requirements, particularly those with disabilities or chronic and psychologic illnesses, often find it difficult to find their way through the thicket. At the TU Dresden, the Interest Group Study and Disability (german: 'Interessengemeinschaft Studium und Behinderung', IGB for short) helps students to keep track of things.
As a link between the university management and students, the network of IGB acts as a contact point for students and prospective students with disabilities and chronic diseases. The focus is on individual, personal advice from the members of IGB and structural units of TU Dresden.
Structure and members of the IGB
The IGB is managed by the Commissioners for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses of the TU Dresden, Professor Gesine Marquardt and Professor Gerhard Weber. The coordination of requests within the network is handled by Mrs. Mandy Weickert as the first point of contact.
