Three New TUD Clusters of Excellence in the framework of the Excellence Strategy
On 27 September 2018 the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) announced that three TUD Clusters of Excellence have been approved for funding as part of the Excellence Strategy:
CeTI: Centre for Tactile Internet
ct.qmat: Complexity and Topology in Quantum Materials
57 Clusters of Excellence at 34 universities have been selected from a total of 88 cluster proposals.
TU Dresden had submitted a total of six full proposals for Clusters of Excellence.
The two existing Clusters of Excellence CRTD (Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden) and cfaed (Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden) will be continued through funds provided by the Free State of Saxony and TU Dresden, so that TU Dresden now has five outstanding, international research clusters.
