Hints for selecting Client-software-Version
- new name for TSM is: ISP (IBM Spectrum Protect)
- When working on setting up a new client, please use ISP-Version 7.x or higher (assuming they are compatible with your operating system (see last item of this page)). Last Version is 8.x.
- A 64-bit system is required for Linux when using TSM (ISP) version 6.3 or higher.
- Only SLES and RHEL are officially supported as Linux platforms for IBM, but other platforms run more or less normally. Detailed information can be found under "additional documentation".

*IBM has translated he packages in deb-Format, but there is no support, only "best effort" for Debian or Ubuntu.
