Multifunctional devices for copying, printing (A4 or A3), and scanning (Scan2mail) are available on campus.
Plotting services and large-format (up to DIN A0) print services are available at the ZIH.
- Owners of a copy card can print, copy and scan.
- Employees of the TU Dresden can order plotting services via e-mail.
Options
- Multifunctional devices on campus:
- printing and copying: A4 and A3 copies and prints
- Scan2mail: Scan of A4 and A3 formats with ability to send PDF to TUD-email addresses
- Plotting at the ZIH:
- possible formats: A4 up to A0
- Available paper types: plain paper, photo paper in matte or glossy
- Printing and copying: Owners of a Copy Card
- Scan2Mail: Owners of a Copy Card registered for this service
- Plotting Services: Employees of the TU Dresden
- Orders always per email
- Once the finished product is ready for pick-up, an email is sent
- Print function: install the necessary client, which is provided here.
- Plot: Pre-tested quality artwork in PDF with crop marks
- PDF up to 20 MB: via email to the service desk
- PDF larger than 20 MB: with the specifications of the order, the template can be on a Datashare share or personally delivered on a USB stick or delivered by internal mail to the service desk.
- For reimbursement of an internal transfer (ILV) an indication of the cost when ordering is required.
- Multifunctional devices: Fritzsche & Steinbach Flyer
- Plotting services: Costs incur depending on paper quality and print size. The costs are to be transferred internally via Internal Cost Allocation (interne Leistungsverrechnung, ILV).
Deployment Time
- Printing and copying: immediately after purchase / recharge the copy-card
- Scan2mail: at the latest 1 working day after registration
- Plotting services: Average of 3 working days

Information for operators of multifunctional devices on campus
As a result of a Europe-wide bid, the company Ricoh Germany GmbH and it's subcontractors, Fritzsche and Steinbach Office GmbH, recieved the contract for the multifunctional devices for copying, printing, scanning on the campus of the TU Dresden. To use the printing services, the client must be installed, including the installation and configuration instructions in the service area on http://www.relaxed-kopieren.de/service ⇒ Clients for printing from public systems is provided.
Information for Plotting-Services
Orders are only executed for members of the TU Dresden, billing is done exclusively via the internal service allocation ILV.
We prefer plot files to be in PDF in A3 formats up to A0. Send your orders to .
For capacity reasons, it is not possible to print flyers (</=A3) in large quantities.
Print jobs are processed in the order in which they are received, although we endeavor to accommodate deadline requests depending on the workload at the Service Desk (for up-to-date information on the Service Desk, please refer to the Website ).
To avoid compromising the quality of your poster, please DO NOT save multiple posters to one file.
The time for processing amounts three workingdays. Please note that large orders take time (several posters). Once your order is ready for pickup, we will inform you via e-mail.

Please check your work before sending us your PDF file. We print the file as it is. The user is responsible for creating the correct print file.
You can attach files up to 20 MB to your e-mail with your print job. Larger files can be shared with us via Datashare. In this case, please send us an additional e-Mail with the general data (size, type of paper, cost centre) of your plotting order.
We print on an HP DesignJet Z6dr. Paper and our inks are UV-resistant.
Transfer postings (ILV) are only possible if you provide us with your Haushaltskostenstellennummer (not a PSP element)!
The cost of a print job based on the standard prices of the TU Dresden(RS D1/4/2016 akt. 02.02.23). Prices can be paid via transfer to a Kostenstelle (internal activity allocation, ILV). Below you can see the prices for internal transfer (ILV).
