IHI doctoral student successful at the ACC Young Scientists' Conference 2024
On 25 April 2024, the 17th International Young Scientists Conference took place in Jelenia Góra, Poland, which is organized annually by the Academic Coordination Centre (ACC) of the Neisse-Nisa Euroregion.
The conference included a total of 15 presentations, in which the diverse and innovative research work of young scientists from the universities of the Neisse-Nisa-Nysa Euroregion, in particular the TU Liberec, the Wrocław University of Economics and Business, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the IHI Zittau, was presented. The conference offered the prospective researchers a platform to present their work, receive constructive feedback and engage in stimulating discussions with scientists. Topics ranged from environmental science and sustainable development to economic theory and economic aspects of technological innovation.
Constantin Scharf from the IHI Chair of International Management gave a presentation on his dissertation project on "Multinationality and Complexity". In his research, Scharf examines the complex dynamics of multinational companies and the complexity faced by managers of international companies in the global marketplace. His findings were awarded second place for best speech and sparked stimulating discussions among the participants, highlighting the relevance and importance of better understanding the topic of "complexity" in today's interconnected world.
In addition to the presentations, the conference also provided ample opportunity for networking. During coffee breaks and lunch, participants had the opportunity to get in touch with fellow researchers, potential cooperation partners and experts. These contacts are of great value for young scientists who want to expand their professional networks and explore opportunities for academic cooperation in the Euro-Neisse region.
