“Leading successfully at TU Dresden”
Overview
The “Leading successfully at TU Dresden” programme at TU Dresden is designed to provide you with support in your daily management challenges.
The aim of the programme is to strengthen and further develop your leadership abilities through specific workshops, networking opportunities and personal advisory services.
The programme is available to all members of TU Dresden management in the areas of science, technology and administration.
Programme structure
The programme consists of foundational and advanced modules, as well as supplementary advice and networking opportunities.
The foundational module is made up of four different parts that focus on management fundamentals. To achieve as much learning continuity as possible and to support a lively exchange between colleagues, participants take each module with the same group of people. Discussions beyond this foundational module are promoted with an introduction to peer consulting.
The foundational module is offered once per year and is open to all professors and members of management at TU Dresden.
The advanced module contains further workshops that deal with specific topics in leadership. Registration for individual workshops is based upon your individual needs.

Participation requirements
The programme is open to all members of staff at TU Dresden who already undertake management activities or will do so in the future.
Grade 6 staff require the consent of their supervisor. The appropriate registration form can be found on relevant page in the training catalogue.
To participate in advanced module workshops, it is necessary to first complete the foundational module, or to demonstrate that the contents of the foundational module have otherwise been acquired.

Individual coaching is a consulting service that focuses on your personal aims and concerns. These will be discussed with you in confidence and possible actions worked out together with the coach.
In the future, participants will also have the opportunity to make use of accompanying activities, such as
- the organisation of peer consulting groups,
- an online platform
- webinars
- or newsletters on current topics in management.
