Operational Integration Management (Betriebliches Eingliederungsmanagement - BEM)
One aspect of prevention work at TUD concerns the Operational Integration Management. According to the Social Security Code IX (Article 84, para. 2), the employer's duty to actively support employees who are ill for more than six weeks per year is understood as the duty of the employer. The aim of the Operational Integration Management is to work together on the causes of an employee's incapacity for work, to look for ways to prevent future labour disabilities or at least to reduce them, to identify rehabilitation needs at an early stage in order to ensure the employability of the employees and to initiate appropriate rehabilitation measures in good time. The Operational Integration Management therefore serves both the individual employee as well as his / her employer and the social security systems.
