Technical living aids

Technical aids serve people with disabilities to compensate for disadvantages that arise in the workplace. The REHADAT database can be searched for technical aids. You can test purposeful chairs suitable for disabled people at our Medical Officer. The application of aids has to be done at different authorities. If you are in an employment relationship and aids have become essential for you to carry out your task, you, as an employee, may apply to the Officer for the Disabled. In addition, the employer may submit an application for benefits under SGB IX.

Persons with disabilities who are taking up a new job may apply to the Employment Agency for work equipment tailored to their needs.

Furthermore, employers may themselves make a request for technical aids:

• at Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund Dresden
• at Deutsche Rentenversicherung Mitteldeutschland Dresden
• via the treating physician at the health insurance companies
