The visual content on the computer screen can be reproduced in braille. A screen reader such as JAWS is required for this.

Mobile Braille Display 80s
Description of the offer:
The content of the computer screen can be output in Braille. This requires a screen reader or screen reader program such as Jaws. The Modular Evolution is a combined standard and Braille keyboard with an additional numeric keypad and is connected to a computer via USB. The patented ATC technology offers assistance functions such as automatic switching, fast reading, or the announcement of text attributes.

Hyperbraille - tactile display
Description of the offer:
Hyperbraille is a tactile display. It enables the tactile display of graphic teaching materials. Hyperbraille improves navigation using touch. Support/improvement of teaching, and perception of complex visual content.

Braille Printer
Description of the offer: The Braille printer can be used to print texts in Braille. Braille is a writing system consisting of raised dots that can be felt with the fingers. This system enables blind and visually impaired people to read texts and use information independently.
Rental modality (where loanable):
Use of the printer or printing orders via the Working Group Services Disability and Studies (AG SBS) and by the QuaBIS team.

Braille Labeler device
Description of the offer:
The Braille Labeler is an electric labeling device that can be used to create transparent, self-adhesive Braille labels. Letters and numbers are converted directly into Braille for embossing, e.g. Labeling of door signs and other materials, etc.

Creation of labels possible on request via the Working Group Services Disability and Studies (AG SBS) and Unit Safety at Work
Description of the offer:
Production of components or signs with haptic lettering, e.g. for making tactile university signposts
Engraving of information is possible on almost all solid surfaces and can be repeated precisely for production in bulk (e.g. advertising).

Dragon Natural Speaking Premium - speech recognition software
Description of the offer:
Dragon Natural Speaking is a speech recognition software that converts spoken language into text in real-time or retrospectively.
It can be used, for example, to transcribe lectures, meetings, or discussions and thus enables barrier-free participation for all. People with hearing impairments, a different first language, or anyone who wants to record and follow content more easily in writing can benefit.
The software also offers valuable support for people who have difficulties with writing - whether due to motor impairments, cognitive characteristics, or because they express themselves better orally than in writing. This makes it easier to produce notes and written work, promoting concentration and improving access to learning content.

Description of the offer:
While lecture halls are often equipped with inductive hearing systems, this technology is lacking in seminar and meeting rooms.
With the help of loanable mobile technology, events can now also take place in seminar and meeting rooms that meet the needs of students, employees, or guests with hearing impairments.

Wheelchair Pyro Light
Description of the offer:
The wheelchair is designed for indoor and outdoor use. The Pyro Light wheelchair offers various adjustment options such as the adjustable backrest, the adjustable seat height, and the wheelbase extension, the leg rests can be swiveled down and optionally adjusted horizontally, and the footplates are angle-adjustable. The PYRO Light wheelchair is also foldable, making it space-saving to store and transport.

Staff and students who use a wheelchair have the opportunity to travel together with their fellow students or colleagues, e.g. on excursions or business trips.

Tricycle
Description of the offer:
The tricycle offers a good solution for accessibility to the locations spread across the campus, especially for people with limited mobility. It is particularly suitable for people with motor impairments, balance problems or physical disabilities. The comfort starts as soon as you get on: The extremely low entry with footboard makes it effortless to get on and off without having to negotiate obstacles.
A practical luggage basket is fitted between the rear wheels so that bags and other items can be carried comfortably. Thanks to the easy-to-operate 3-speed coaster brake, the tricycle is safe on the road. With its compact design, it also fits easily through standardized door widths.

Description of the offer:
Mobile stair caterpillars allow people with mobility impairments to overcome barriers such as steps. They are a practical solution for places without elevators or ramps and help to improve accessibility.
Suppose (structural) barriers cannot be removed easily or at short notice. In that case, the Inclusion Officers and the Representative of Employees with Disabilities at TU Dresden are available to advise and coordinate with the TU Dresden Facility Management to find suitable solutions.
Lending modalities: The stair caterpillars can be borrowed from SG 4.4.3 Transport and Traffic (Furhpark). However, as the use of the stairclimbers requires special knowledge, prior instruction in their operation is necessary. The capacity of the batteries is limited, so careful planning in advance of borrowing is recommended to use them as efficiently as possible.

Height-adjustable side tables - sitting and standing workstations
Description of the offer:
These tables are primarily intended for use in lecture halls and seminar rooms where there are no wheelchair-accessible seats or where fixed seating can be a challenge.
The tables offer the following features:
- Height adjustable from 52 cm to 108 cm
- Tilting table top (80 x 60 cm)
- Stepless adjustment by hand crank
- Stopping edge to prevent materials from slipping off
- Mobile thanks to castors that can be fixed in place if required.

Possible uses:
To ensure that the tables can be used as required, please let us know as soon as possible if you need them for courses or exams. Telescopic Stool
Description of the offer:
The stool can be adjusted to different heights. Due to the fish scale structure, this portable, retractable, foldable stool can be easily opened and locked at a desired height to use within 2 seconds by turning it a little and securely locking the seat height by turning it in. The 12-position height from 6.5 cm to 45 cm is suitable for children and adults and meets the needs of people in different usage scenarios. The stool is said to offer a load capacity of up to 220 kg.

Small folding stools
Description of the offer:
The footrest or stool in general is very light. When folded, it has a handle so that it can be easily transported. The handle can be used both for transportation and for hanging up. The maximum load capacity of the multi-purpose folding stool is 150 kg. The non-slip rubber dots on the surface guarantee a safe step and the legs have protective bumpers for better grip. The outdoor seat cushions are self-inflating and can be individually adjusted to seating requirements by regulating the air pressure as required. The robust material is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Dimensions 43 x 30 x 7.5 cm, approx. 200 g.

The straws can provide support when eating and drinking, especially for people with limited mobility or strength in their hands. For example, there are drinking straws made of bioplastic in an oval shape with a non-slip grip or stainless steel drinking straws with flexible silicone tips. Card set "Fairplay"
Description of the offer:
The card set "Fairplay" offers teams and organizations a practical opportunity to deal with the topics of fairness, equal opportunities, equal rights, and consideration. It encourages discussion and reflection on how these values can be implemented in everyday working life and how respectful cooperation can be shaped. In workshops or team meetings, in particular, the set promotes dialog on key issues of justice and fairness in working together.
The extension set "D-E-I" (Diversity-Equity-Inclusion) expands the topic area to include aspects such as diversity, equality, and inclusion and provides a helpful basis for discussions that focus specifically on these topics. Teams can use the set to identify specific challenges in the area of equal opportunities and develop solutions together.
