Giant worksheets
We have prepared something for download...
Different impulses are needed at events. Sometimes it's a lecture, other times it's a discussion. But a lot can also happen on the fringes of events. At the beginning, for example, the participants could make visible who they are, what interests them or what questions they bring with them. During the breaks, thoughts can wander or ideas can be collected. At the end, it is important to give feedback or formulate wishes. However, it is not uncommon for some of this to fall by the wayside because there is not enough time or the moderators also have the right to take a deep breath.
We have created giant worksheets for such situations on the sidelines. They are (in our opinion) all pretty and have superpowers: they can make preliminary concepts visible, structure future workshops, gather feedback and much (really much) more.
We have developed a small selection of frequently requested giant worksheets in A1 format for you to collect from us at Joddid. Here you will find an overview of all analog sheets available. If you would like to collect some from us, please send us an e-mail to joddid-shop@tu-dresden.de with one or two suggested dates. Please note that we can only offer these giant worksheets in german.
Below you will find an even larger selection of giant worksheets for download as PDF files. Feel free to get an initial overview:
All giant worksheets are in DIN A 1 format (59.4 cm x 84.1 cm) and therefore really large. They can be downloaded and can therefore be used quickly. The format can of course be customized - but the design requires a certain size. But see for yourself!

QUESTIONS ON POLITICAL EDUCATION
Here we have listed a whole host of questions that you can ask yourself if you work in political education. None of the questions are easy to answer. But they can help to focus on fundamental aspects of civic education and get people talking about them. Download and didactic commentary
FINDING ACCESS
For civic education to be successful, it must connect to the lives of the people it is aimed at. This poster supports joint reflection on possible approaches to the people we address with our work. Download and didactic commentary
TYPOLOGIES
These posters can help to start a conversation about the question of which citizen role models we are actually concerned with in political education. Do we want emancipated, activist citizens or well-behaved, quiet citizens? Is it better if everyone goes to the polls, or is it about more?
The poster TYPOLOGIES CITIZENS PROFILE encourages people to think about how the participants of an event see themselves. Download poster
Poster TYPOLOGIES - FOR WHOM DO WE MAKE POLITICAL EDUCATION asks who we encounter in our political education work and what guiding principles we follow. To download
Entry points and diagnostics

WHO IS HERE?
A poster that can be used to quickly and almost incidentally show who is currently in the room. The poster is specially designed for events with multipliers (i.e. people who work in political education). Download and didactic commentary
ABOUT FEAR AND HOPE
Emotions also play a major role in political education. But they are often left out. With the help of these two posters, participants can visualize what makes them afraid - or hopeful - socially or politically.
Poster WHAT AM I AFRAID OF offers space to name fears. Download and didactic commentary
Poster THAT GIVES ME HOPE makes it possible to share hope Download and didactic commentary
CHANGE IN VALUES
These two posters are about changing values and therefore about the question of how values or attitudes and also issues change over time.
Our poster VALUES initially encourages self-observation and asks how political attitudes and positions have changed as people have grown older. Do they become more forgiving and lenient or more radical and revolutionary? Download and didactic commentary
The poster Taboo topics encourages people to discuss topics that may have become taboo over the course of time.
Download and didactic commentary
MEDIA USE
The “ What did I do for my media awareness last week?” poster is designed to help you reflect on your own media usage behavior.
Download and didactic commentary
Politics and democracy
TO ME, POLITICS IS ...
Two posters that can be used to make it very clear that the term politics can stand for quite different things depending on the perspective - but depending on which concept of politics we take as a basis, we then also have different things in mind.
The poster TO ME, POLITICS IS presents a variety of existing political terms and helps people to orient themselves. Download and didactic commentary
The poster TO ME, POLITICS IS (BLANK) is prepared in such a way that the participants can freely enter their subjective ideas. Download and didactic commentary
DEMOCRACY - WHAT IS IT AND WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR IT?
Posters to discuss the concept of democracy:
The poster TO ME, DEMOCRACY MEANS encourages people to reflect on their own concept of democracy. Download and didactic commentary
DEMOCRACY - WHAT HAVE I DONE FOR IT LAST WEEK? poster offers a (brief) overview of the possibilities of democratic action and invites students to take stock of their own position. Download and didactic commentary

Download and didactic commentary
DEMOCRACY - WHAT HAVE I DONE FOR IT SO FAR?
... and because DEMOCRACY - WHAT HAVE I DONE FOR IT LAST WEEK? has been so well received, we have designed another poster of this type by special request. It is called DEMOCRACY - WHAT HAVE I DONE FOR IT SO FAR? Download and didactic commentary
WHICH VALUES ARE IMPORTANT?
These posters can be used to visualize at a glance which values the participants of an event find important and which normative ideas guide them.
The poster WHICH VALUES ARE STILL IMPORTANT presents various value orientations and invites participants to position themselves. Download and didactic commentary
The poster WHICH VALUES ARE STILL IMPORTANT (BLANK) is designed to be completely open and can be used for free consultation Download and didactic commentary
WHAT IS JUSTICE?
With the help of this poster, a small, simple thought experiment can be carried out to visualize which ideas of justice are in the room Download and didactic commentary
PEACE - HOW DOES THAT WORK?
Two posters that can help to make visible that there are different concepts of what peace is and how it can be achieved.
The poster PEACE - HOW DOES IT WORK? offers a rough orientation on different concepts. Download and didactic commentary
The poster PEACE - HOW DOES IT WORK? (BLANK) supplements these concepts with quotes from various political stakeholders. Download and didactic commentary
Both posters are suitable for encouraging educational participants to visualize their own ideas and relate them to others.
CONFLICT ANALYSIS
Negotiating interests is a central feature of deliberative democracy. However, where there are interests, there are also conflicts, but what constitutes a conflict and how serious it is is perceived differently by different people. This poster makes different assessments visible and encourages people to discuss their causes. Download and didactic commentary
THE ICEBERG - ANALYSIS MODEL OF CONFLICT DYNAMICS
The users of the giant worksheets also requested a second poster for analyzing conflicts. It helps to differentiate between visible and invisible conflict dimensions. Download and didactic commentary
TABU TOPICS
The poster THINGS I CANNOT TALK TO MY PARENTS ABOUT deals with topics that can be problematic, especially between generations, by asking which topics or issues can no longer be discussed with one's own parents. Download and didactic commentary
THINKING ABOUT FREEDOM
Three posters that encourage people to question and discuss personal and social perspectives on freedom and lack of freedom.
The QUESTIONS OF FREEDOM poster presents various questions that structure thinking about freedom with a view to the conditions and possibilities, but also the challenges. Download and didactic commentary
The poster SPIDER'S WEB OF LACK OF FREEDOM asks about the reasons for (perceived) lack of freedom and invites you to take a position on these. Download and didactic commentary

WHERE DOES THE DIALOG END?
Democracy enables and requires the critical negotiation of values and attitudes. But are there also values and attitudes that are non-negotiable? And if so, where is the limit? These two posters help to make the different views on this visible and to enter into an exchange about them.
Poster TOLERANCE LIMIT 1 asks about the limits of tolerance in general. Download and didactic commentary
Poster TOLERANCE LIMITS 2 focuses on the context of political education. Download and didactic commentary
FURTHER METHODS
By special request, we have also started to develop some posters on methodological issues. This can help to exchange ideas about methods or to make method instructions particularly visible.
In this sense, the poster EXCHANGE PLATFORM is a poster that can be used at multiplier meetings or training sessions to discuss particularly successful methods. Download and didactic commentary
FISHBOWL poster is an instruction poster for the fishbowl method and can be used to illustrate the rules that are common in this context. Download and didactic commentary
Feedback (not only for the end of the event)
WHO'S MISSING?
We received feedback on our poster "Who is here" and therefore developed the following poster to supplement it. It is called WHO'S MISSING? and can help to make visible whose perspective is missing for the discussion or work within the framework of the event (although it would have made sense to include it). Download and didactic commentary
STORING IDEAS
A poster that is ideal for recording ideas during events so that nothing gets lost. Download and didactic commentary
TERMS
The central concepts of political education work or political discourse are often ambiguous, vague, not clearly defined or contested. This poster can help to raise awareness of this and provide a space for the necessary clarification of key terms. Download and didactic commentary
TO-DO LIST
So that it doesn't just remain dreaming: On this poster, tasks arising from plenary sessions, workshops or organizational meetings can be collected on the side and visible to all, and, if necessary, weighted and sorted according to relevance. Download and didactic commentary
FEEDBACK
Using the five-finger method, these posters offer a simple way of finding out from the participants of an event how they liked the event.
The FEEDBACK poster presents the method on a single poster and is therefore suitable for smaller workshops and seminars. Download and didactic commentary
The FEEDBACK 1-5 posters offer much more space for feedback by spreading the method over five different posters and are therefore suitable for larger events, such as annual conferences or permanent exhibitions. Download and didactic commentary
Further Worksheets
BREAK
This poster brings together some (funny) ideas for digital break design and can help to create low-threshold occasions for discussion. Download and didactic commentary
SAXONY
In view of the special situation in SAXONY, a set of three posters was requested, which can be used to discuss the problems of the federal state and the difficult question of whether it is worth staying or whether it would not be better to leave. These three posters can be found here
