Women Leading in Academia – Program for Professors
As a supplement to the Center for Continuing Education’s leadership program, TU Dresden's ten-month qualification program Women Leading in Academia is aimed at professors (W2, W3 and W1 in the advanced tenure-track process) who want to strengthen and develop their leadership skills and expand their professional network.
Participants in the program will delve into the topic of leadership in science using a variety of methods. This includes the analysis of personal motives in leadership, giving feedback, presence in the media, communication in challenging situations and conflict management. Supplementary individual coaching consolidates the content and is tailored to the needs of the participants.
An additional focus of the program is learning and networking with leaders from academia – both within and outside your own organization – as well as prominent members of society.
Feedback from participants
This is a fantastic program. The different elements are tailored to the needs of the group and address precisely those issues that are important in the daily work of all the participants. Discussions with each other as well as input from the coaches were valuable. (Prof. Regine Gerike)
The program will take place from August 2024 to June 2025.
