HERStory - Exceptional female professors at TU Dresden
Making women in science more visible!
TU Dresden is strongly committed to highlighting and recognizing the achievements and role of women in science. In a targeted manner, several historical female scientists have already been successfully made visible, and in the future, the significant and inspiring role of women in the past and present will be made even more present through further initiatives.
With the "HERStory" calendar, TUD's Diversity Management is once again presenting pioneers and excellent female scientists at our university in 2025. Twelve outstanding female professors and their biographies are shown. We show historical, emeritus and current female professors who, for example, were the first female professor in their field of research at TUD.
The women depicted in the calendar were illustrated by the illustrator Sylvia Wolf using photographs.
In addition, the TUD website offers detailed monthly biographies of the female scientists featured in the calendar, matching the respective calendar page.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to order or collect calendars for this edition, as all copies have already been sent out or distributed. We are very pleased about the great response and would like to point out that there will be another calendar next year.
